Hunan Visit KWNC for Exchange Learning

At the beginning of the new academic year, Professor Yi Lilan and Associate Professor Wu Bin from the Department of Nursing of Huaihua Medical College of Hunan, China came to KWNC for a one-month exchange learning. Having been in Macao for nearly one month, Professor Yi and Professor Wu were particularly impressed with KWNCˇ¦s classroom teaching that the overall arrangement is appropriately designed, and the teaching approaches are flexible and diverse. They commented that KWNC is student-centred as it offers timely encouragement to students and put a premium on hands-on practice by providing real-life scenarios to stimulate studentsˇ¦ thinking and encourage self-directed learning. The two professors also exchanged opinions with KWNCˇ¦s academic staff on the lecturing, teaching and assessment approaches for fundamental subjects, design of classroom teaching, nurture of new academic staff, training for clinical teaching staff, establishment of welcoming atmosphere at work, and the balance between work and family.

In addition, the two professors gave special commendation for KWNC studentsˇ¦ proactive learning attitude, strong communication ability and great passion for nursing. They concluded their exchange learning by describing the Collegeˇ¦s administration as ˇ§democratic, standardized, effective and delicateˇ¨ and the academic team as ˇ§bullish, harmonious, capable and dedicatedˇ¨. They can see a genuine reflection of KWNCˇ¦s philosophy of ˇ§From Personhood to Benevolenceˇ¨ from both its teaching and administration.
