As promulgated in the Chief Executive Dispatch of the Official Gazette of the Macao SAR Government, the 35-member list of the Talent Development Committee was announced on 26 March 2014.

President Van Iat Kio of Kiang Wu Nursing College of Macau is appointed as one of the members of the Talent Development Committee to contribute effort into the cultivation of talents and sustainable development of the local society.

The main responsibilities of the Committee are to devise, formulate and facilitate the long-term development strategies of Macao’s overall talent cultivation. It is also responsible for the conception and implementation of short, medium and long-term measures and policies on talent nurture, especially the establishment of the “Elite Cultivation Programme”, “Expert Incentive Programme” and “Applied Talent Promotion Programme”, as well as the mechanisms of motivating talent retention and return, etc.
