College invites guest to talk on how to stimulate students' creativity |

Faced with today's ever changing health care environment, nursing professionals should be armed with critical thinking, creativity, ability to identify and solve problems whenever necessary, in addition to their professional knowledge and skills. Kiang Wu Nursing College of Macau, in order to stimulate students' creative thinking and enhance self- learning ability, on February 17, invited the External Examiner Joanne Chung, Professor of Nursing degree courses in HK to give a lecture on "creativity and self- learning" hosted by Lecturer Tammy Wong and two Year One students, joined by all the faculty members and students. In order to make students more active and alert in thinking, the College has organized regularly talks to help develop students' creative thinking. Apart from that, the Student Union has also held for years competitions on nursing facility designs, two of which, subsidized by the Science and Technology Development Fund of Macau, have been jointly produced by the Productivity and Technology Transfer Centre of Macau and Perfekta Toys Lda.,Macau, namely “ECG Ruler”and“Sharps Collection Box”, which are perfect examples of how the nursing students turn the combination of creativity and scientific research into practice. |
