He also analyzed the development course and status quo of the nursing education in Thailand. KWNC President Florence Van gave the Thai guests a warm welcome. She believed that through the exchange we could get clear ideas about Thailand’s current development of nursing education and nurse training while some teaching and study experiences could be well shared between the two institutions. She expected to have further collaborations with each other. Then the two parties spread out discussion over the topics of medicine-nurse relationship, nurse specialist, nurse registration system, the leading role of nurses and nursing education system, etc.
Situated in the capital Bangkok, the Assumption University is the first international University of Thailand , the earliest tertiary institution that used English as the usual medium of instruction in Thailand. In order to cope with the Thailand’s development as a tourist city, with the Bachelor’s degree programme holding an advantage of English teaching, the University also opens up many other related subjects and is scheduled to run Master’s degree of nursing science programme in near future.
