A Visit to Public Prosecutions Office
Headed by President Florence Van, a 60-member visiting group of KWNC teachers and students arrived at the Public Prosecutions Office, Macau SAR in the afternoon of Feb 18, in the hope of better understanding the public prosecution procedures and the existing medical law.
During visit the teachers and students were given a warm welcome by the Prosecution Commissioners who then also presented the departmental functions, organizational structure as well as the operation of the Office. When visiting the exhibition Hall of Prosecutions Office, they were greeted personally by Prosecutor-General Dr. Ho Chio Meng. He showed concern over and paid attention to nursing education while pointing out the needs for a lot more exchanges and interactions among different professions since the society has changed a lot and is full of talent competitions. In the mean time he expected students to study well in return for the society, being a nursing professional of strong responsibilities, patience, love and perseverance.
After the tour, teachers and students had a good discussion with Consultant of Prosecutor-General’s Office Ms. Chio Iek over the managing procedures of medical tangle, arbitration and legal cases as well as some actual problems to face. Meanwhile some previous cases handled were put forward for analysis so that the visitors could get clear idea about the legal issues in the medical fields. Finally the guest and host took a group photo in warm and friendly atmosphere.
