Plaque Unveiling Ceremony of KWNC Clinical Nursing Practice Base

In order to enhance the nursing skills of her teaching staff and students, Kiang Wu Nursing College of Macau is actively seeking and opening up different practice base from the external parties. On Sept. 2 nd , a Plaque Unveiling and Agreement Signing Ceremony marked the cooperation between KWNC and the Third Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou Medical College, where the KWNC students may start their clinical studies while nurses from the TAHGMC may come to Macau to receive training in clinical teaching as from the new academic year.

The Ceremony was held at the auditorium of the new inpatient building of TAHGMC. The agreement was signed by President Van Iat Kio and President Li Jian to represent the both sides. President Van hoped in her address that more nursing professionals could be cultivated and the educational exchanges between Guangzhou and Macau could be broadened through the cooperation; President Li Jian also wished to build up a learning platform for KWNC's teachers and students. He believed the close cooperation could serve to promote the medical and nursing development of the two areas. After signing of agreement, the KWNC Clinical Nursing Practice Base was inaugurated at a Plaque Unveiling Ceremony officiated by the guests, and a lecture named “The Mission of Nursing” given by President Van to the chief nurses then followed.

The Third Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou Medical College was founded in 1899, formerly known as You Tsai Hospital and the Second People's Hospital. The maternity section, osteological surgery section, cardiovascular section, kidney-transplantation section are her four significant sections.
