2007/2008 Graduation Ceremony of KWNC

The Graduation Ceremony of Kiang Wu Nursing College of Macau for the 2007/2008 academic year was held on Sept. 20 at the auditorium of Kiang Wu Hospital. There were forty-two Bachelor of Science in Nursing graduates and forty-four Bachelor of Science In Nursing (Supplementary) graduates being conferred certificate of academic degrees. The guests of honor included Secretary for Social Affairs and Culture Fernando Chui, Deputy Director of Coordination Department of Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the Macau SAR Lo Heong Chu, Director of Tertiary Education Services Office Chan Pak Fai, Deputy Director of Department of Health Chan wai Sin, President of Administration Council of Macao Foundation Victor Ng, School of Nursing of the HK Polytechnic University Professor Cheung Wai Yee, KWNC Honorary Vice-chairman of Board of Directors Hoi Sai Un, Chairman Ma Iao Lai and Vice-chairman Ho Va Tim, the Secretary-general of Kiang Wu Hospital Charitable Association Ng Pui Kun and KWNC President Van Iat Kio, etc., together with about six hundred graduates' families, relatives, friends and alumni members attending the Ceremony.

Chairman Ma Iao Lai, Secretary Chui Sai On and President Van Iat Kio respectively addressed the Ceremony. Besides the brief introductions to the College academic achievements for the last year and the current nursing service status of Macau , they also encouraged the graduates to construct their right personal philosophy, exert and strive hard without any let up to raise individual nursing competence to meet social requirements. Chairman Ma officiated at conferment of degrees to all the graduates. Two graduate representatives delivered together a thankful speech to the teachers for their instruction all the years. They promised to keep the Nightingale spirit non-stop and devote themselves to the society with what they had learnt on the future posts. After presenting souvenirs to the College by representatives of the two classes, the Ceremony came to a successful end in fully warm and touching atmosphere.
